Craziness in the pharmacy again. These older african american ladies steped up to the counter the other day and asked for some help.
"Excuse me do you have any other types of the three sixes?"
"No, I've never heard of it, I'm sorry." I reply.
This is where it gets fun...
"You don't know about three sixes medication?"
"Yo daddy knew about three sixes. I want the three sixes with quinine. It'll fix anything."
"I'm sorry we don't have anything like that." I try to say without laughing about 'yo daddy'.
"Oh well, where's your Geritol at?"

I'm with the ladies! I sure wish I had some of it right now. Like they said, "It'll fix anything."
Holy Crap. I don't know if it fixed anything except my will to live.
Back in the 70's when one of us got sick, she would line all three of us up and ladle that nasty yellow stuff down our throats. It's called 666 because it tastes like the devil!
Found this blog when I was trying to figure out what my husband was talking about when he talked about "Father Johns Medicine" and "Three Sixes." Read the post and the comments out loud and my husband is laughing out loud and saying, "Yes! Yes! We used to beg each other, 'Please don't tell Mommy I'm sick.'" I told him they called it Three Sixes because it WAS the mark of the Beast!
I am 46 yrs old and I'm barking like a dog...~ and taking every medicine over the counter you can think of.. All of a sudden while I struggling to get my senses together from this coughing.. A light bulb popped inside my head..."Hey what I need is some Father John's in the orange box!!" Actually I am on my way to lunch and about to stop at the local Savon Drugs and pick me up a box.. I heard the bottle has gotten smaller/shorter over the years, but one gulp of the stuff still gives you shivers and quivers!!! I think everyone makes an ugly face when taking that stuff.. but boy does it work!!! :)
Yes yes that stuff right there although nasty it will get you right
They still made it up until a few months ago. You had to buy it from the manufacturer. The salesman said that they weren't getting enough demand for it so they had to stop making it.
I had seafood poisoning. When I was well enough to walk to the store, I stood there staring at 666 with quinine. Finally I asked the old black lady, " What's that?" " Oh" she said. "That's some good medicine, that's what that is." I asked why they call it 666. She said," 'cause if ya got the devil in ya it'll get him out too!"
Where can I find three sixes by Monticello I used to take it as a little child it helps this other stuff don't work where can I find it
The world needs some of that 666 cold medicine we NEED it PLEASE they need to Make some more of that Good MEDICINE
